Danish Poul Thisted, 60, and U.S. national Jessica Buchanan, 32, who were abducted in Somalia last week are alive and well, according to their employers the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

“I can say that we have been contacted and it has been confirmed that our two colleagues are alive, and that under the circumstances they are well,” the DRC’s Ann Mary Olsen tells Politiken.dk, adding information on the welfare of the two had been received by telephone from a trustworthy source.
