Danske Bank is to axe 2,000 jobs over the next three years in a savings plan designed to secure the bank by reducing costs in 2012 to 2014 by 10 per cent or DKK 2 bn.
“In order to ensure the Group’s future earnings capacity, the Group is launching a three-year cost-savings programme that will reduce expenses by about DKK 2 billion in the 2012-14 period,” the bank says in its Interim Report for the year’s first nine months.
