The Syrian documentarist Nidal Hassan has not been heard of since Thursday when he attempted to collect a passport to leave Syria to take part in the CPH:DOX festival of documentary films in Copenhagen.
Nidal Hassan was to have been present during the showing of his documentary Three Stories of Life, Love and Death, which was filmed in Syria this spring as unrest began to unfold in the country.
