A 45-year-old police constable shot himself in a patrol car in Roskilde last night shortly after having been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The officer committed suicide using his own service gun, which he retrieved from his bag. Neither the officer nor his bag had been searched, as is custom in connection with arrests.
