Yesterday’s storm forced seawater in the south of the country eastwards, resulting in the Ærø Ferry from Svendborg to Ærøskøbing with 148 passengers on board running aground on a sand bar.
All 148 passengers spent the night on the ferry, which remains stuck and waiting for high tide. Attempts by a tug to re-float the ferry failed. A ferry spokesman tells TV2 that the ferry should be able to re-float at around 10.30 a.m. today.
