The government is setting up a Commission of Inquiry into the role of the Tax Ministry in connection with a case involving Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt’s family tax issues while she was Leader of the Opposition.
The Inquiry was announced today by Minister for Taxation Thor Möger Pedersen after having received reports from both his Permanent Under-Secretary Peter Loft and the Director of the Copenhagen Tax Authority Erling Andersen.
