The Danish media has reacted strongly to this weekend’s revelations by Ekstra Bladet with allegations that the former Liberal Party Tax Minister’s special political assistant attempted to offload potentially sensitive and confidential material about the then Leader of the Opposition’s private tax affairs.
“Denmark is not a banana republic…. But since last Friday many people have doubts,” says financial daily Børsen’s commentator Helle Ib.
