The Socialist People’s Party of Foreign Minister Villy Søvndal is to hold an extraordinary meeting later today following Søvndal’s statement at the weekend that he had difficulty seeing Denmark join the Europact agreed by the 17 euro countries on Friday.
“There will be things that are very difficult for Denmark,” Søvndal told TV2 News on Saturday in a controversial statement that has elicited strong criticism from another government party, but assent from members of his own National Executive Board (NEB).
