Despite the fact that Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt does not feel that an overhaul of the rules governing spin doctors is necessary, a unanimous Parliament has ordered a review of the regulations on special consultants.
The proposal, which was put forward by the Danish People’s Party, had the support of an opposition majority in Parliament as well as the Red Greens, and in order not to be voted down, government parties also voted in favour, despite their opposition to the move.
