Five vintners have been reported to the police on allegations of having filled cheap table wine into bottles purporting to be an expensive quality wine, according to B.T.
The bottles used claimed to be Tuscan Brunello di Montalcino 2001, which normally costs between DKK 250 and 400 (EUR33-54) per bottle. They were retailed for at least DKK 100 (EUR13) and sold in restaurants, at vintners and in the SuperBest and Kvickly supermarkets.
