The government’s budget forecast which has been published today sees the budget deficit in 2012 rising to DKK 100.7 billion or 5.5 per cent of GDP, compared to DKK 96 billion this year.
“The outlook for the international economy has got considerably worse in the final six months of 2011, and weaker conditions mean lower tax revenues and increased benefit costs,” says Finance Minister Bjarne Corydon in a written comment.
