A 48-year-old woman died last month after contracting cancer in connection with a lung transplant at the national teaching hospital Rigshospitalet.
Shortly afterwards another patient died after receiving a liver transplant from the same donor, while a third patient has contracted cancer after receiving a kidney transplant. A total of five patients received organs from the donor, who without doctors knowing it had been suffering from angiosarcoma.
