Local Liberal Party chairmen appear to be giving the thumbs down to the triumvirate of whips, one of whom has generally been seen as a successor to former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen when and if he withdraws from his post as party chairman.
According to a Ritzau survey among local Liberal chairmen, none have pointed to former Development Aid Minister Søren Pind, former Tax Minister Peter Christensen or likewise former Tax Minister Troels Lund Poulsen as crown prince of the party.
