Several Portuguese media are reporting that the bodies of two women have been found by search crews in a river in Madeira, saying that the bodies are believed to be those of two Danish tourists who disappeared while on a hiking trip on Sunday.
Police in the Madeiran capital Funchal have not yet confirmed the information, and the Danish Foreign Ministry has declined comment at this time.
