Met Office sea level warning

A bathtub effect of water streaming back out of the Bay of Bothnia and Baltic has caused the Met Office to issue a warning for increased sea levels in southern regions of Denmark in particular.

Last week, westerly storms pressed large amounts of seawater eastwards, but with water levels lower west of Denmark, than in the Baltic, seawater will now be returning westwards causing increased tidal levels around Funen, Zealand and southeast Jutland.
