The Danish High Court has doubled the damages imposed on a soccer fan who invaded the pitch during a 2007 international against Sweden, causing the match to be stopped, Denmark to lose the game and UEFA to both impose a fine and the right to the next two home games..

The High Court of Appeal doubled the damages awarded to the Danish Football Association in the lower court, from DKK 900,000 (EUR 121,000 ) to DKK 1.8 million (EUR242,000). Apart from the damages awarded in the lower court, the now 33-year-old man was originally sentenced to 20 days in prison.
