The Danish Shipowners’ Association has criticised a Danish shipping company for not doing enough to secure the release of its two employees, but the company itself says pirate demands are unrealistically high and it cannot pay the amount demanded.
“In cooperation with our professional advisers Shipcraft has been working hard and untiringly throughout this past year to negotiate a solution with the pirates,” Shipcraft writes in a news release.
