At a time when military budgets are increasingly being cut across Europe, Sweden’s Supreme Commander Gen. Sverker Göranson is calling for more cooperation between the Nordic countries in monitoring each other’s air space and maritime sovereignty.
“We must be ready to dare to share responsibility. Then our politicians must choose the right way to go,” Göranson says, adding in particular that incident responsibility – monitoring each other’s territorial sovereignty - should be shared.
