Minister postpones magazine VAT

Tax Minister Thor Möger Pedersen seems to have taken the National Geographic magazine seriously after it warned Denmark that plans to charge VAT on foreign magazines printed outside the EU contravene international rules.

Möger Pedersen (SocPpl) has now decided to postpone a section of a Bill that involves changes in VAT rules on VAT charged on magazines printed outside the EU. The change would mean that magazines would be liable to VAT wherever they are printed.
