Former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen is fielding a storm surrounding the installation during his tenure of a smoking cabin in his office – and not least who should pay for it.
The controversy has arisen in the wake of reactions from senior Liberals just before Christmas to the news that the current Social Democratic Food Minister Mette Gjerskov had a DKK34,000 smoking cabin installed at her office. At the time, Liberal Health Spokeswoman Sophie Løhde said Gjerskov’s move was “Social Democratic arrogance”.
