The latest survey on homeless people in Denmark shows 4,998 without a home out of a total population of some 5.5 million.

"The survey gives a picture of the current situation and at any given time we can expect to have a minimum of 5,000 people without a home," says National Research Centre for Welfare Researcher Lars Benjaminsen. Figures have remained stable since 2007.
