Security and peace in Afghanistan may suffer when NATO’s troops leave Afghanistan at the end of 2014, according to the U.S. Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman during a meeting with the Danish Foreign Minister Villy Søvndal in Copenhagen.
Grossman’s statement comes a week after Søvndal told Politiken that there could be a setback in Afghanistan when foreign soldiers leave the country and Afghanistan itself takes over responsibility for security in the country.
