The French presidential campaign was already being side-tracked when a serial killer in southwest France struck yet again on Monday morning.
Several weeks before the tragic events, a President Nicolas Sarkozy under pressure began to woo voters of the extreme right with a strange campaign against halal meat (slaughtered in the Islamic way) – a campaign that also targeted kosher meat (slaughtered in the Jewish way).
