A major new survey shows an increased mortality as a result of a normal intake of beta carotene, Vitamin A and Vitamin E vitamin pills, with the man responsible for the survey calling for such pills to require a prescription.
“These products should be put under the medicinal products law. If you are ill or have a particular need for them, you have to go to the doctor for a prescription. They should be removed from supermarket shelves,” says Chief Physician Christian Gluud of Rigshospitalet.
