Danish Institute in Syria closes

The Danish Institute in the Syrian capital Damascus is closing and its Director Anders Hastrup will be leaving the country on April 1, the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Further Education has announced on its website.

“The decision has been taken by the Board and Director together. The temporary closure is a result of the security situation in Syria,” the ministry writes.
