Despite being severely weakened by 64 days on hunger strike, Danish-Bahraini Abdulhadi al-Khawaja had asked to appear in court for a hearing on an old case on entry into Bahrain, his wife Khadija al-Moosawi tells politiken.dk.
“His lawyer asked the authorities to allow him to appear, but they say he is too weak to be allowed out of hospital,” al-Moosawi says in a report confirmed by al-Khawaja’s lawyer Mohamed al-Jishi.
