The Danish national serum institute SSI is advising football fans who will be visiting Ukraine for the European Soccer Championships this summer to have an anti-measles vaccine as the viral illness is on the increase in the country.
“There is an outbreak of measles in Ukraine, so football fans should make sure they have a measles vaccination before they go. It only takes a brief encounter on a bus or in a stadium with someone who coughs and you risk getting the diasease,” says SSI spokesman Peter Henrik Andersen.
