The European Commission put forward its budget proposal for 2013 today, calling for almost seven per cent increase, but Denmark’s Finance Minister Bjarne Corydon says the Commission should rather rein in spending.
“It’s too much and the wrong signal. An increase of almost seven per cent is much too high at a time when there is a lot of pressure on national budgets,” Corydon says in a written response to Ritzau.
