The Copenhagen West Police and the tax authority SKAT have arrested 26 people after an operation to uncover a major tax and VAT scam, a police statement says.
Eleven of those arrested have been charged with being a kingpin or front for the fraudulent dealings, while 15 others are to be charged with moonlighting, social fraud or tax evasion. These latter will be released when their council or unemployment fund has been informed.
