Union boss: members to vote on tripartite agreement

The union movement has reacted with consternation to an employer requirement that agreements reached with the government on increasing working hours must be passed into law by Parliament, thus making union member voting superfluous.

“That is exactly what I don’t want. If you legislate on what we are supposed to deliver, it is simply to avoid employees from deciding themselves,” says the FOA association of public servant Chairman Dennis Kristensen.
