Defence Minister Nick Hækkerup (SocDem) has decided to close down the military Defence Command as an independent establishment and merge it with the Defence Ministry, according to Ritzau.
“The government is determined to modernise the high command by integrating the civilian and military leadership,” Hækkerup says.
