According to a Met Office forecast for Politiken, summer 2012 is likely to become the coldest since the turn of the millennium, with a search of the records showing that 1990 was the last summer with such low temperatures and so much rain.
“It’s difficult to say given that we have only just entered August - but it looks like being a terrible summer,” says Senior Climatologist John Cappelen.
