From today onwards there are new rules as to the types and lighting effect of bicycle lights in Denmark.

Lights must shine straight out front and back and be visible at 300 metres and shops are no longer allowed to sell battery-driven bicycle lights that do not shine the required distance for at least five hours after purchase.
