The poverty line in Denmark has now been established. If you have lived for half the average wage for a period of three years you are poor, according to the conclusions of an expert committee that has been working for a year to determine the poverty threshold.
That means that according to the committee, some 42,000 people in Denmark are poor, having earned less than 103,200 kr. (EUR 13,800, USD 18,362) after tax per year for three years.
