The left-wing Danish Red Green Party has decided to nominate the controversial US whistleblower Edward Snowden for the Nobel Peace Prize.
A parliamentary group meeting decided that Snowden, who is currently in Russia as a refugee, should be nominated for the prize due to his disclosures about widespread US monitoring and its effect on public privacy, according to Nordjyske Tidende.
