Experience! While late summer for some means crayfish parties, weddings, and apple picking, for a certain part of Copenhageners it’s all sparkling wine, cheek kisses, and art. In late August, a new art season kicks off, and all over the city, the mingling gets underway in galleries and at fairs. Especially at Copenhagen’s chic art fairs, Enter Art Fair and Chart, both taking place this final summer weekend. And believe it or not, you can actually join in too, even if you’re a mortal who neither goes to the academy nor has an uncle who owns a gallery.
For Scandinavia’s largest international art fair, Enter Art Fair, at Lokomotivværkstedet by Sydhavnen, Aug. 27-30, you can buy a ticket for 156 kroner. Read more here. Within the same days, you can also buy a ticket (from 130 kroner) to see art from Nordic galleries at the Chart art fair at Kunsthal Charlottenborg by Nyhavn—a fair that also offers some pretty great free events, parties, and concerts.
