It was a unanimous Folketing, the Danish parliament, that decided it should be a crime to steal someone else’s identity and impersonate another person online.

»It can be an extremely unpleasant experience and can have significant consequences for one’s privacy and presence on social media«, said the parties part of the agreement, when the law was passed.
