Although both Konservative Folkeparti and Dansk Folkeparti have declared Troels Lund Poulsen, the leader of Venstre, as their candidate for prime minister, Danmarksdemokraterne rejects the notion entirely.

Dennis Flydtkjær (DD), the acting political spokesperson, spoke out after K leader Mona Juul pointed to Troels Lund as her prime minister candidate over the weekend:
