A copyright dispute threatened free art. Husets Teater has now settled with Nordiska. The alternative was too expensive, says the chairman.
Husets Teater insisted that it had not broken the law. Their perhaps most talked-about production this year was not a copy, declared the small theater in Copenhagen.
Nevertheless, the board has now reached a settlement with the powerful rights agency Nordiska, which sued theater director Liv Helm and playwright Nanna Cecilie Bang in May for copyright infringement.
