F12. It’s a shortcut key on the keyboard that activates a specific pre-programmed function on a computer. In Microsoft Word, F12 is ’save as’. In the billing system of the Charlottenlund Medical House, which is suspected of fraud, F12 activated something quite different.

A series of former employees have testified in the criminal case that F12 was the staff’s shortcut key to register the service for a telephone consultation whenever they had any form of phone contact with patients.
