A record number of complaints have been filed about noise and odour from Copenhagen Airport, and parents are worried about their children’s health. Enhedslisten is now calling for an investigation into the airport’s impact on children in the area.

There are toys scattered on the living room floor at Barbara Kjølbye Zinckernagel’s home in Tårnby. Books, stuffed animals, and a hobby horse that her three-year-old son often plays with.

She lives with her husband and their two children about three kilometers from the airport, heading towards Copenhagen. They have lived there since July 2025.
