Google has shifted from a search engine to an answer engine, but its AI health answers can be misleading and even outright harmful. The tech giant rejects the criticism.
Patienthåndbogen (The patient handbook) on Sundhed.dk is »the place online where citizens can find reliable, up-to-date information about illnesses and their treatment«.
It is therefore worrying that many Danes are now settling for AI-generated answers from Google’s ‘AI overview’ and, to a large extent, have stopped clicking through to Patienthåndbogen and other authoritative health portals.
