Kelton Minor var netop ansat på det prestigefulde Columbia University i New York. Foran sig havde han en definerende fase af sin lovende videnskabelig karriere. Den 35-årige forsker havde modtaget et af verdens mest eftertragtede stipendier og kom derfor med finansieringen af ikke blot sit eget arbejde, men også et understøttende laboratorium.

Han skulle forske i, hvordan klimaforandringerne påvirker menneskets sundhed og adfærd, men så blev Donald Trump præsident i USA.
