TV2 is balancing on the edge of economic collapse and will probably end 2008 with a deficit of up to 60 million kroner to add to the 850 million kroner it already owes.
Earlier this year, the state guaranteed a loan to TV2 of some 500 million kroner because banks did not accept TV2 as creditworthy. The loan expires on February 1, 2009, and to make things worse the European Court will be ruling today on four cases of alleged illegal state subsidies.
