A rather unusual art theft has taken place in Copenhagen. Thieves have made off with Copenhagen Cathedral’s (Vor Frue Kirke) 2.5 tonne, 3.2 metre statue of King David which has been for repairs at the Flemming Brian Nielsen stonemasons in Sydhavnen.
“My transport driver called me yesterday morning at seven to say it had gone. That was the last thing I expected. It can’t be stolen,” says Flemming Brian Nielsen.
