A new prime minister will be appointed in Denmark today (Sunday) when Lars Løkke Rasmussen (Lib), 44, presents himself to the Queen in the wake of the appointment of outgoing Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen (Lib) as secretary-general of NATO.
Support Prior to his official resignation, Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen is to meet the leaders of the Conservative, Danish People’s and Liberal Alliance parties to ensure that Lars Løkke Rasmussen enjoys the support of a majority in Parliament.
