Statistics Denmark says that Denmark’s overall greenhouse gas emissions have continued to increase each year from 1990 to 2007, rising 62 percent in the period from 72 million tonnes to 117 million tonnes.
Shipping worst The bad news is that Danish international shipping and air traffic are culprits for the lion’s share of emissions, with the transport sector having increased its emissions threefold since 1990 as a result of a major growth in international shipping transports.
