Hiking in the Archipelago

You might associate the West Swedish archipelago with quaint little harbors where sailboats dock side by side. However, you don’t need a boat to experience the archipelago. The national hiking trail Kuststigen stretches 376 kilometers from Gothenburg, via islands and skerries, all the way to Oslo in Norway. On the island of Skaftö, a 7.5-kilometer loop takes you through a landscape reminiscent of ’Emil of Lönneberga’ and up onto cliffs with the most stunning views of the archipelago.
