Listen! The KUA students and their accompanying tote bags are emerging from their winter hibernation, as the annual documentary film festival CPH:DOX returns from March 11-22. And yes, there are plenty of films – actually more than 200 – and Politiken’s film critics will soon guide you through them, but the festival offers much, much more than just films, and Ibyen will take you by the hand for that. First up, talks.Oversættelsesdisclaimer
As always, several of the films are followed by conversations, just take a look at the extensive talk program here. This year, topics range from climate activism and alcohol culture to cycling and #Metoo. On Friday, March 13, you can experience a conversation about how to portray complex queer lives on the big screen. This takes place at Empire Bio in Nørrebro after the screening of the film ’Bouchra’, in which a queer filmmaker calls home from NYC to her mother in Casablanca to talk things out. Tickets cost 110 kr. Read more here.
