In the future, Danish prison officers will have to get used to working alongside new foreign colleagues.

The new penal reform, presented Wednesday morning by the SVM government and a broad coalition of both red and blue parties, heralds a new international recruitment effort for more prison officers to fulfill the political promise of increasing prison capacity by 2,000 places by 2036.
